Join The 'Pen Pals' Challenge ...

Every other Friday we will issue a new journaling challenge and post our sample pages on the blog. We'd love to have you join in with us too ... & maybe we'll pick you to be our 'Pen Pal of the Week!'

How you interpret the challenge is up to you, we will mostly create scrapbook pages - but feel free just to journal/blog post ...or maybe adapt the challenge to your art journals, cards & altered art.

Leave a comment on the challenge post with a link to your blog or gallery where we can find your work ... & if you'd like to be considered for the 'Pen Pal of the Week!' Guest Design Spot, be sure to e-mail your entry too!

Timi's Entry for Challenge #1

Journaling reads:

Things I learned before I turned 21...

The joys and pains of first love
The true meaning of brotherhood and sisterhood
The hospitality of Filipinos
The magic of first kiss
The real essence of friendship
That families are not perfect
The real situation in the countrysides
That love always finds a way
That I'm not always the best
October 1991

Thanks for joining us Timi ... gotta love that pink! LOL

If you'd like to enter this challenge, e-mail your submission or leave us a link to your blog post ... or do both!! Don't forget to show us your journaling too (in the body of an e-mail would be great) - we are all about the words here! LOL.

Really have to thank you for your support, Timi .. and for playing along in our first ever journaling challenge! ooohhhhh, this is just so exciting!

Your page is just wonderful! Love the paper layering you've done here. and the stitching and metal embellishments?!!! Awesome! But ... your journaling is what gives your page 'heart', girl. There's depth and true meaning to what you've said .. and I LOVE that!

OH Timi those are wonderful lessons to learn and you learned them so early. SOME PEOPLE dont learn those even when they are in their 80's. YOU ARE fortunate to have those truths and life lessons to stand on!! I love your page with the bright colors you did a beautiful job
