One in the UK, one in the USA: International blogging buddies. Both challenge you to tell your stories. After all, the pen is mightier than the sword.
Join The 'Pen Pals' Challenge ...
Every other Friday we will issue a new journaling challenge and post our sample pages on the blog. We'd love to have you join in with us too ... & maybe we'll pick you to be our 'Pen Pal of the Week!'
How you interpret the challenge is up to you, we will mostly create scrapbook pages - but feel free just to journal/blog post ...or maybe adapt the challenge to your art journals, cards & altered art.
Leave a comment on the challenge post with a link to your blog or gallery where we can find your work ... & if you'd like to be considered for the 'Pen Pal of the Week!' Guest Design Spot, be sure to e-mail your entry too!

And About Time Too!
Finally, here is my take on Colette's challenge. The picture was taken for a Her Space: My Space photo challenge a looooong time ago & seemed just perfect for this theme too! I haven't used journaling strips for a li'l while now, so I've shamelessly copied that from Colette! LOL In my journaling I've used a doodled heart for 'love' but as I'm not a techie, I can't work out how to reproduce that here ... so the journaling reads: I love the way you turn everything into one of your songs I love how you say you love me - a million times a day I love how you giggle when you are pretending to be invisible I love the smell of your freshly washed hair I love your smile I love that you are my very own sweet boy!
You still have a couple of days to send your entry in and join us as pen pal of the week on a later challenge!

I am a freelance writer, designer and owner of the best little scrapbooking webshop in the UK (well I think so!) I am a mother of four boys ages 4 years to 22, who provide endless scrapping opportunities on a daily basis. How cool is it to do what you love and call it 'working'? The best thing about having such a large age range is watching the older ones mature into wonderful young men while still getting to experience the magic of discovery that only exists in the very young. And now that I scrapbook I can relive those moments over and over when, to others, they might be a distant memory long since forgotten. Does it get any better than that?
This is me!
This is Colette!
Colette Bate is a fabulous designer, residing in Phoenix, AZ and currently serving on the Scrapbook Obsessions & C&T Publishing Design Teams. Her passion for creating shines through in her personal blog and illustrates so well why she was an obvious choice for this challenge blog, which is all about finding the words. To quote Colette: '... there is only one gift I can give that is unique and truly one from my heart alone. It is the gift of my memories - gathered, preserved, displayed, and shared with those I love.'
