I am Jing-Jing Nickel and I discovered scrapbooking 10 years ago when I was invited to an in-home class. To me, it was the most perfect extension of my love for traveling and travel photography. Then with the birth of my first child in 2004, a new dimension of scrapbooking as well as a new realm of creative possibilities were born with her. I transitioned from a pure event scrapper (trips) to encompass many "moments" documentation of her life with us. Now I have two adorable girls with my husband of 10 years, and scrapbooking has never been more fun and taken more seriously.
I was recently named one of the runners-up of the Memory Makers Masters competition, an honor beyond my wildest expectation.
In my spare time from scrapbooking, I have a full-time job in the I.T. profession as a software development infrastructure engineer.
Other interesting facts about me... I am extremely extroverted and outgoing. People who know me in real life know that I'm loud and crazy. I speak English (above all else), Chinese (Mandarin and Shanghainese), and French. And I love words and writing.

It was pure, dumb luck that brought Jing Jing into my internet circle of friends. And, my life has been enriched because of her. She is an incredibly talented scrapper. Her style is simple and direct ... done with finesse and a touch of humor ... pure Jing Jing. And, her recent MM Masters Runner Up announcement is only the beginning. You just watch ... this girl is going places!
But, through these journaling challenges I've learned even more about Jing Jing. It's been such fun! If you get the chance, stop by her blog .. it's full of rich stories and amazing creations sure to inspire you.
I think she's getting ready to embark on yet another journey to her homeland ... China ... with her daughters, Amelie and Naomi. She's a busy mom, busy worker bee, busy scrapbook designer, busy world traveler ... and I'm just thrilled she's found time to share her talents with us! And, proud to call her my friend.
Big hugs, girl!
